It's no secret that Taylor Swift likes to target her ex-boyfriends in her songs and fans are wondering who her new hit, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, is about. While she has had her heart broke by a few men in the past, most rumors single out Joe Jonas as the inspiration for the song which veers off from Taylor's typical country sound. Now, Joe Jonas is speaking out and says that the song is NOT about him.
In a recent interview, Jonas said, "I can say it's not about me, because I don't think we've ever tried another time. I can tell you it's not about me. I like the song. That said, I think the song is great...Taylor does pop music really well and I'm happy for her."
Taylor Swift and Joe Jonas dated in 2007 and their 2008 break-up allegedly ended with a 25-second phone call from Jonas. Taylor belted out about the relationship in her hit song, Forever & Always, so it is unclear why fans felt the Jonas brother had earned himself another spot in one of Taylor's songs.
In the past, Taylor has also dated Taylor Lautner, John Mayer (who the song Dear John is rumored to be about), and Jake Gyllenhaal. She is now romantically linked to Conor Kennedy and some wonder if she will write a song about him if things happen to sour between the two.
