Katie Holmes has been really crafty lately, but Tom Cruise fans needn't worry. She isn't crafting any ways to get back at the Scientologist for subjecting her to years of torment. Instead, she's crafty in a most positive way--with daughter Suri.
According to a report from Hollywood Life, Katie is intent on teaching Suri that the finer things in life don't have to cost big bucks, and while their adventure didn't compare to her week in Disney World with Tom Cruise, the two seemed to be having a great time just the same.
Katie took Suri to Make Meaning--a craft studio where customers create their own decorative ceramics. Suri worked on her very own project while Kate created some new coasters.
Even though the paparazzi gathered outside while Katie and Suri crafted, that didn't stop them from completing their projects. The two spent about an hour and a half in the craft studio and seemingly enjoyed every moment they were there.
Don't you think it's great that Katie Holmes is teaching Suri that fun and togetherness needn't equal lavish amounts of money? Just this past weekend Katie was spotted teaching Suri how to ride a bike. It's moments like these that create a foundation for childhood and teach a child that fun is just as much determined by the company they keep as it is the activities they engage in.
