Maci Bookout and Ryan Edwards haven't mastered the art of co-parenting. The former Teen Mom couple seems to argue non-stop on the show, so it's amazing that one of them hasn't filed for custody yet. In fact, they don't even have a child support order in place.
"At first, it was me being stubborn. Like, I didn't want to ask him, because I didn't want him to feel the satisfaction of thinking that I needed his money," Maci revealed on last night's Teen Mom After Show. "Then I thought about it more, and I was like, it's just not fair. I felt like I was constantly taking all the responsibility for Bentley, and if I wanted him to have to pay for anything it was gonna be child support."
The two worked out an agreement between themselves and according to Maci, it hasn't been a problem. "He's been very easy with that. He hasn't been difficult at all, thank god."
Typically, when couples can agree on a payment amount out of court, it is much less than what the state would make the other parent pay, so that is likely why Ryan has been so reasonable about it.
Hopefully, Maci Bookout and Ryan Edwards can keep the peace!
