A new "unofficial" Fifty Shades of Grey trailer has just hit the Internet. And no, it's not a parody. It's a surprisingly well-done, professional looking fan-made video that provides a pretty good preview of the as yet uncast, unfilmed, and obviously unseen movie version of E.L. James inexplicably--er--wildly popular "mommie porn" novel.
In the unofficial trailer, the film is rated R for restricted. Sorry PG-13ers. Obviously, that's it for the credits since there are as yet no stars. Nevertheless, the film teaser opens without them to reveal the mysterious figure of Christian Grey striding under what looks like either an oddly patterned curtain or an extremely large foreign flag. Whatever. The thing billows around him for a couple of seconds before the scene gives way to aerial nighttime views of Manhattan skyscrapers which in turn give way to extreme close-ups of a man--presumably Christian Grey--undressing a woman, who is, no doubt, the feckless Anastasia Steele. Those teasing erotic images are followed by rapid fire shots of speeding sports cars, Anastasia's graduation, and Mr. Grey again--doffing his own clothes this time. All this is followed by a kind of intermission consisting of Christian skulking about in the shadows of a large building. As he emerges therefrom, the scene changes once again--this time to a series of erotic tableaux vivants: Anastasia standing in a luxurious bedroom being slowly undressed by You-Know-Who, Anastasia biting her lip, Anastasia bound and suspended from--- Well, you get the picture.
If not, you can watch the video below. Enjoy.
In case you're wondering who played Christian and Anastasia in the trailer, you'll have to keep wondering. To reiterate, there were no credits. However, the trailer's creator did state, at the video's end, the actor that she envisions in Fifty Shades of Grey's titular role. It's Superman star, Henry Cavill.
Do you agree with her?
