Kim Kardashian and Kanye West may be getting along supremely well, as their romance seems to be growing ever stronger. The good news is that the couple has been friends for a long time, which is often the backbone to a successful relationship. The rapper also apparently gets an A-plus from Kardashian's family, which is way more than can be said for the reality TV show diva's last guy and soon-to-be ex-husband, Kris Humphries.
But things may not be quite so peachy-keen between some of West's friends and his girl. Rumors have sporadically swirled that Jay-Z's wife, Beyonce, may not be a fan of K.K., nor is she interested in "keeping up with the Kardashians"--at all.
The latest evidence of a potential feud, or at least a strained friendship, between Bey and K may have come during the Made In America music festival in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where West and Jay were performing over the Labor Day weekend. Both of the rap-stars' plus-ones kept their distance and certainly didn't have a replay of that Watch The Throne concert back in June, where they were seen hanging out together. Nevertheless, Kardashian did cut a sophisticated and cool profile in her high-cut white peplum top and black skirt that was short, but not too short, as she jetted into the city for the concert on West's helicopter. The equally trendsetting Bey would have seemingly approved of such an ensemble.
The "Love on Top" songstress may be maintaining some separation from Kim Kardashian to avoid too much of the reality TV show-induced spotlight that follows the star everywhere. Or maybe Bey just downright doesn't approve of Kardashian, given her previous failed romantic exploits. She may be feeling a bit protective over her pal, Kanye West.
The tone between the two females was reportedly also icy at best during the BET Awards earlier this year, where Kardashian was said to have been given the cold shoulder. And a diamond bracelet gift from Kardashian to Bey's baby girl, Blue Ivy, was apparently not well-received either. Of course, it didn't help that it was apparently inscribed with "Love Auntie Kim"!
Oh Kim, baby steps, not stiletto stomps are going to be what's needed to win favor in this potentially strained situation. And, she's evidently learned that lesson. According to Daily Mail, a source revealed, "She's hung with them a few times already, but she isn't saying peep about [Jay-Z and Bey]. She's not tweeting or taking pictures... because she doesn't want to seem desperate." Smart move--win over their approval first, then maybe ask them to make a special appearance on her reality show!
