Who is Honey Boo Boo's daddy? The little girl, whose real name is Alana Thompson, stars in the reality TV show bearing her own name, and her mom June dresses her up like a hooker so she can compete in little girl beauty pageants. Somewhere along the way Mama June and someone else--um, well--they procreated--right? And little "HBB" was the end result.
According to a report from The Hollywood Gossip, little Alana is one of four of June Shannon's daughters, but each of the girls, ranging from 6 to 17, has a different father.
Alana's dad is none other than "Sugar Bear," David Michael Thompson. He appears on the show and is the one who brought his daughter home a pig--which she also dresses up and takes to beauty pageants with her.
The oldest daughter Chickadee's daddy is David Dunn. He has a criminal record a mile long and had the following to say about Mama June.
"She took my virÂginity and I took hers... Anna looks just like me. They wantÂed me to sign away my rights to Anna, but I refused. I don't know who my own daddy is, and I always want Anna to know who her father is. But June won't let me see her."
Goodness, no! June wouldn't want her daughter around someone like that--right? She is a stellar example of good parenting, so she certainly wouldn't allow a convicted felon in to their classy home!
Anthony Ford is Chubbs's father, and he's a registered sex offender in Georgia. June won't allow him to see his daughter either, but that's probably a really good thing.
Seemingly no one--including Mama June--knows who 12-year-old daughter Lauryn's dad is. A family insider has a couple of things to say about that scenario.
"There are all kinds of family stories about who LauÂryn's dad is. I don't think June even knows who it is....," the source says. "We're convinced June never got married to any of her kids' fathers because she gets child support and welfare payments for each of those kids--if she got married, the money would stop."
Now isn't that a big surprise?
And all this rich family history will one day be passed down to little Honey Boo Boo and her pet pig. Maybe she can participate in the interview part of her little girl beauty pageants (do little girl pageants have interviews?) and launch into the history and diversity of her own family. The judges will either think she's completely insane or a pathological liar.
Who would believe a paternity tale like Mama June's? Viewers probably don't find it all that far-fetched, however.
And exactly what does that say about them?
