It's been a while since Pippa Middleton has been photographed publicly - and she made sure she looked every inch the socialite for her public appearance at the weekend.
The 28-year-old has asked the media to respect her status as a private citizen, after finding it increasingly difficult to deal with the media attention. She was followed and photographed frequently after sister Kate Middleton's Royal wedding to Prince William, and made the request shortly before going to the Hamptons for the weekend.
Most of the British press did opt not to print the photographs of her weekend away, and today she seemed more than happy to pose at the US Open. Attending as a guest of Roger Federer, Pippa sat next to tennis player and Harvard graduate Spencer Vergosen at the game, and seemed to enjoy cheering on the Women's finalists.
Pippa certainly looked like royalty, wearing a colorblock dress with button fastenings, and a half-unzipped skirt. She accessorized with some simple beige wedges, big sunglasses and a Kate Spade straw bag, along with her VIP pass.
While Pippa is in New York mainly on business, and has several meetings regarding her book launch, she's found some time to unwind too. She was snapped with hotelier Andres Balazs on Sunday, who took her on a seaplane to his private resort, and was photographed again with New York Ranger Sean Avery that evening.
Pippa's book, said to be named "Celebrate: A Year of Festivities For Family and Friends," is said to be a comprehensive guide to planning celebrations. Viking Publishers revealed that Pippa will not be holding any publicity events on this trip, and will wait until closer to the launch date on October 30th. Pippa has penned the book to cement her status as a leading party planner, and insiders think the book will fly off the shelves due to her sister's big name.
However, Pippa Middleton is certainly trying to raise her profile in the States, and is expected to make an appearance at New York Fashion Week on Thursday before she flies home.
