Rumors have swirled ever since Taylor Swift's new single Never Ever Getting Back Together was released last week, speculating that the lyrics were directed at one of her ex-boyfriends. Now it's confirmed she wrote the song about Jake Gyllenhaal, who is indeed one of the singer's former beaus.
According to a report from Hollywood Life, Jake Gyllenhaal isn't the only ex-boyfriend Swift has written a song about either. Her song titled Dear John is reportedly about ex John Mayer.
"It made me feel terrible. Because I didn't deserve it. I'm pretty good at taking accountability now, and I never did anything to deserve that. It was a really lousy thing for her to do," John Mayer commented back when he first heard about Dear John.
Is Conor Kennedy a bit nervous--fearing he might one day wind up the subject of one of Taylor's songs? Swift seems rather smitten with the Kennedy heir, even flying him to Nashville recently when she had to leave Hyannis Port, Massachusetts.
Conor's family is apparently very pro-Taylor, as noted in a recent comment made by former Rep. Patrick Kennedy.
"We love Taylor Swift ... she's been a great friend and we're happy for Conor," he said. "If she wants to be in the family, she's already a part of it."
Conor Kennedy is the son of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and the late Mary Kennedy. Swift spent most of the summer with the family and even accompanied Conor to a memorial service at his mother's gravesite.
Hopefully nothing goes wrong in the Taylor-Conor relationship, because members of the Kennedy clan might find themselves back in the media via one of Taylor's songs.
But that shouldn't bother the Kennedy family at all. They're definitely used to battling bad press.
Did you figure out that Taylor's new song Never Ever Getting Back Together was about Jake Gyllenhaal or were you wondering which ex-boyfriend she was singing about this time?
