One Direction is in LA getting ready to perform at the MTV VMAs 2012. Apparently, this is a great opportunity for these British lads as exposed by Liam Payne who said that the annual shindig is a time when "history's made and people do different things to stand out."
That said, Payne, who is in the superstar band with Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, added, "We're hoping to have our performance really stand out."
No worries. Even if everyone watching isn't into their particular brand of music, 1D has so such a legion of very vocal fans that the screaming inside the show's venue will probably draw everyone in when these famous blokes from the UK take to the Staples Center stage on Thursday, September 5.
That said, Payne speaks for his band mates when he says that they are "really excited" about their performance which he calls one of their "biggest."
So what will happen when One Direction invades Los Angeles for the MTV VMAs? What can these guys do to top their other huge performances, like the one during the Olympics 2012 closing ceremony when the singers rode into the London arena on the back of a flat bed truck to so much hoopla it seemed impossible that these performers could even get through their song without being drowned out by their fans?
Who knows? Only time in the way of one more day will tell, so stay tuned.
