Robert Pattinson has sparked rumors of a budding romance by being spotted with Zooey Deschanel.
There have been reports that Katy Perry and her BFFs have all been going after Rob since Kristen Stewart cheated on him--Rihanna allegedly started texting the actor, and Raising Hope actress Shannon Woodward had to deny rumors tha
t she's pursuing Pattinson.
However, now R-Patz dating rumors have shifted from Katy and her clique to a new girl--doe-eyed brunette beauty Zooey Deschanel.
According to Hollywood Life, Rob and three guy friends were celebrating his time apart from K-Stew at the Soho House in West Hollywood on Friday. Ryan Seacrest and Zooey were also there, and the actress walked over to Rob's table to greet him before having a conversation with the actor about music.
So if Katy Perry can't have Rob, perhaps her look-alike can.
Hollywood Life asks if a romance might be brewing between Robert Pattinson and Zooey Deschanel, but it sounds like they were just having a friendly chat.
However, the two of them might make a good match, especially if Rob is looking for the anti-Kristen Stewart. Zooey comes off as being girly, sweet, and soft, while K-Stew appears to be grungy, rough, and moody. Zooey and Rob do have something big in common, too--they both enjoying acting and playing music.
Even if the two of them don't see each other as dating material, it could be fun to see them play a movie couple or sing a song together. Last year everyone swooned when Zooey teamed up with her male pal Joseph Gordon Levitt to perform "What Are You Doing New Years Eve?" in an internet video. So just imagine how big a duet between Zooey and Rob would be (perhaps they could do a Christmas tune).
And of course it would be fun to see Rob play a love interest of Zooey's New Girl character Jess.
