Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have both had to put on a brave face since the relationship drama (a.k.a. the cheating scandal) that has rocked their world and that has sent the tabloids into a tizzy. While each star stayed under the radar immediately after those suggestive photos of Stewart and Rupert Sanders surfaced, they've ventured back to the spotlight and have stepped out with a bang.
Pattinson looked every bit the polished and professional heart-throb during his Cosmopolis premiere a few weeks ago and at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards last Thursday; he's even reportedly lightening up and having some fun with friends and Katy Perry. As for Stewart, she's made a positive splash (and has really not looked much worse for the wear) with her On The Road red carpets--from the Toronto International Film Festival to New York City.
But appearances can be deceiving. Even though Kristen Stewart revealed that she and Robert Pattinson are "totally fine" at a recent photo call, it seems their road to full heartbreak recovery could be a long one. She may look stunning--and be handling all the questions served up to her in fine style--but she's no doubt still dealing with some major stress on the inside. And the same goes for Pattinson.
It's a good thing that they're both talented actors, as there's no doubt they are perhaps playing one of their most challenging roles yet; roles that require them to mask the sturm and drang that's encircling their personal lives at the moment. And they are putting on one good show! All that pent-up turmoil could prove an asset, though, in their next dramatic film project.
However, Pattinson is taking out some of his frustration by punching things--and no he's not getting into scuffles with the shutterbugs. As Hollywood Life reports, an insider spoke to this issue, alluding to the fact that Pattinson is still coping with some major anger and disappointment, as could be expected.
"He's been punching bags at the gym every night to vent his frustration," the source said, also relaying that, "Rob seemed happy and upbeat during his official appearances last week, but he joked that he was doing the best acting of his life. In reality, he is really angry and feels like the paparazzi are chasing him."
Yes, neither Pattinson nor Stewart have been fond of the paparazzi--even without their romance woes that are currently in the picture. But on the bright side, it sounds like the British actor could be getting in some of his best workouts ever as a result. He may be premiering a newly buff physique at The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn-Part 2 debut in November!
