A couple of months back Life & Style reported that Roberto Martinez, who was engaged to famewhore ex-Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky for 18 months before the two broke off their engagement late last year, would be the next Bachelor. But it looks like someone else will be handing out the roses instead.
According to Reality Steve, Sean Lowe, who made it to the final three on the most recent season of The Bachelorette, will be the next Bachelor -- not Roberto!
Reality Steve tweeted Wednesday: "SPOILER: I can confirm that producers are currently at Sean's parents house shooting his intro video. Safe to say Sean is the next Bachelor" and "If they're trying to hide it, they're doing an awful job. Shooting in the front yard, Sean in swim trunks playing w his niece and nephew"
Reality Steve has obviously been wrong before, but a few other online reports have popped up claiming that Sean got the gig, so he probably isn't just getting fed false information. (He could also have driven past Sean's parents' house, since they all live in Dallas, and seen the cameras for himself. But hopefully he's not a stalker.)
Sean seems like a nice enough guy, and he's obviously a hottie, so he certainly qualifies to be the Bachelor. But he might be too nice, and therefore uninteresting to watch -- he definitely seems like he could be a bit boring as the lead. But he's also going on a show notorious for nudity, premarital sex, boozing and catfights despite being a devout Christian, so he can't be that bland. There has to be some freak in there somewhere if he's willing to be the Bachelor and have 25 skanks throw themselves at him. Either way, it doesn't matter if the lead is Sean or Roberto. As long as viewers see the Bachelor get shirtless frequently and plenty of catfights and drunken antics, they'll be happy.
What do you think? Do you want Sean Lowe to be the next Bachelor? Would you rather see Roberto Martinez? Sound off in the comments!
