Kylie Jenner is 15 and Kendall Jenner is 16. They're both models, they're writing a young adult book together (probably more like having it ghostwritten, but whatever) and Kendall is eyeing an acting career. Plus they might get their own reality show. They can't do all that and actually go to school, so they're going to be homeschooled instead. And big sister Kim Kardashian reportedly thinks that's a mistake.
According to The National Enquirer, Kim "is pleading with her teenage half-siblings to focus on their studies instead of pursuing showbiz caÂreers" and thinks they should go to college.
"Kim assured Kendall and Kylie that the work will always be there, but they only have one shot at enjoying their teen years," a "source" tells the mag. "She actually told them, 'Don't follow in my footsteps!'"
Kim is apparently so desperate for her sisters to go to college instead of joining the family famewhore business that she's enlisted boyfriend Kanye West, who "had a heart-to-heart with the girls and kindly promised to give them jobs if they can't find work after finishing school," to help convince them. There's no word on whether Kendall and Kylie are reconsidering their decision to leave school (doubtful), but The Enquirer does report that momager Kris Jenner is "hopping mad" that she might have two less children to exploit if they do decide to go to college.
Does anyone think Kim actually had this conversation with Kendall and Kylie? Does anyone think Kim (or anyone else in the Kardashian-Jenner family) values education and privacy? She had plenty of opportunity to graduate from college before she became famous. It's not like her sex tape was released when she was 18 and fresh out of high school—it didn't come out until she was 26, so she could have gotten a degree if she had really wanted to, even on the Bluto plan. But if Kim did have this talk with her sisters, could it be because of her own petty jealousy? It's been reported for months that Kris wants to make Kendall a bigger star than Kim, so would Kim try to talk Kendall and Kylie into taking a few years off so she can keep the spotlight all to herself? Kim is a terrible person so you can't put anything past her, but the chances are good this conversation never happened.
What do you think? Should Kylie and Kendall Jenner go to college? Did Kim Kardashian actually have that conversation with her sisters? Sound off in the comments!
