Kate Middleton is making news this week in many ways. First she was said to be pregnant and now she's once again in the tabloids but this time she's topless.
The Duchess of Cambridge most likely knew what she was getting herself into when she married Prince William, but the level of disrespect the media has is surely astonishing nonetheless.
The Palace has issued a statement on the topless photo scandal, saying the following:
"Their Royal Highnesses have been hugely saddened to learn that a French publication and a photographer have invaded their privacy in such a grotesque and totally unjustifiable manner.
"The incident is reminiscent of the worst excesses of the press and paparazzi during the life of Diana, Princess of Wales, and all the more upsetting to The Duke and Duchess for being so."
Their Royal Highnesses had every expectation of privacy in the remote house. It is unthinkable that anyone should take such photographs, let alone publish them.
Officials acting on behalf of Their Royal Highnesses are consulting with lawyers to consider what options may be available to The Duke and Duchess."
Between Prince Harry's naked photo scandal and now the Kate Middleton topless photos, the Royal family is looking like a right mess. Albeit, Kate didn't go out and take her top off for the world to see and she most likely never thought anyone would stoop to such a low level as to take photos of her naked and sell them, but they did and now The Duchess will have to deal with the fallout.
Do you think the French tabloid Closer should have printed the photos? If Kate Middleton is pregnant, do you think these photos are going to upset her even more?
