Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick: They may be the very definition of a dysfunctional relationship--from his hard-partying, clubbing ways and bad-boy image to their frequent fights, the sleeping in separate beds and even the willingness to let their romance woes be broadcast via reality TV shows like Keeping up with the Kardashians and Kourtney and Kim Take New York. Talk about drama! But, despite their ongoing tumultuous times, new rumors have suggested that Kardashian may finally really be over her longtime boyfriend and father of her toddler son, Mason, and her baby girl, Penelope Scotland.
It seems unlikely the pair would split now, especially after everything they've been through, and with a new baby on board. With that in mind, an insider has said that Kourtney Kardashian has gone so far as to seek advice from fellow reality TV show starlet, Nicole Richie, to perhaps salvage her relationship. Richie shares a lot in common with the eldest Kardashian sister, including what must be a crazy-busy schedule and plenty of time in the spotlight. But what differentiates the two may be the success of their relationships; Richie's marriage seems great and Kardashian's partnership... well, maybe not so much.
Richie may have experienced a bit of a silly start on the small screen via The Simple Life with Paris Hilton. But she's come a long way since her days hanging with la Hilton. The stylista has several successful clothing and accessories lines, including Winter Kate and House of Harlow 1960. Plus she has a family of her own with husband, Joel Madden, and two children. And she even went back to a more polished version of reality TV with her appearance on Fashion Star.
"Nicole's completely turned her life around since having children and is in a great marriage. Kourt badly wants the same with Scott," a source apparently revealed to Star magazine, as Entertainmentwise reports. "Nicole told [Kourtney] she needed to toughen up on Scott and make him go to parenting classes, so he can learn how to be a good father. Nicole made it clear that she turned her life around by becoming more private and wouldn't give that up for anything."
Her supposed guidance seems straightforward and simple enough. But while Scott Disick may be able to brush up on his daddy duties--he seems like he could already be doing so, as he's occasionally been spotted hanging out with Mason solo and spending time with the fam--the major piece of Richie's counsel may not fly with the Kardashians. Kourtney really cannot become "more private" if she wants to continue her reality show career. And, even if she doesn't, her family may have a problem with losing one of the main stars of their E! TV empire!
So will KUWTK stand in the way of a gown-clad walk down the aisle and a happily-ever-after for Kourtney and Scott? Or will they eventually take a page from Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian's wedding registries and get married for the world to see on TV? Richie might have a problem with both of these routes.
