Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez may have not been born with a silver spoon in their mouths, but apparently the "Boyfriend" singer did come out of the womb with vocal chords of gold. His proud mother, Patti Mallette, recently revealed a few little tidbits about her pop-star son, who's now practically a household name the world over, and one of the most interesting was the moment she apparently knew she had a little star on her hands. And he was just a baby!
"I know this sounds crazy, but it sounded like he was singing. He did!" Mallette revealed to Today show host, Kathie Lee Gifford, when asked what Bieber's crying sounded like. During the interview on Tuesday, Sept. 18, Mallette also expressed the excitement she felt knowing her little one had some big talent, "Oh my gosh, it is so precious and amazing."
While her lovely, personal anecdote could seem a bit far-fetched and romanticized (hindsight is always 20/20, after all), it's definitely possible that even baby Bieber's wailing was maybe a bit more lyrical than just plain ear-splitting.
Regardless, Justin Bieber was obviously born with some serious raw talent. As Hollywood Life reminds, he was only 15 when he first entered the music scene with a bang. Fast forward three short years, and this infant with the beautiful cries has become a music sensation with chart-topping hits, trophies and awards left and right, Twitter followers galore, scent-sational fragrances, a role-model-worthy attitude of gratitude, a dedication to give back to the community and much more. Not bad!
Similarly, the Biebs' girlfriend, Selena Gomez, obviously also possesses an innate forte for the entertainment field, as she got an early start too as a Disney darling and has successfully segued into a triple threat of a singer, actress, designer and more. But, whether her baby bawls were equally as singsong as her boyfriend's apparently were is anyone's guess.
