Lindsay Lohan apparently decided that Amanda Bynes' driving woes have been getting too much media attention - she recently tried to top Amanda's multiple traffic violations by getting arrested for a car accident of her own.
According to TMZ, Linds was trying to park her car
near the Dream Hotel in NYC when she hit the knee of a pedestrian. Luckily she was driving at such a slow speed that the man that she bumped didn't suffer any visible injuries.
However, instead of making sure that the man was okay, Lindsay continued on her merry way. She then had one of her passengers get out and check for damage on her car before going inside the Dream Hotel.
Someone called the police to report the accident, and Linds was arrested while she was leaving the hotel. She was slapped with a misdemeanor for leaving the scene of an accident and released without having to pay bail.
Lindsay Lohan's arrest comes just days after the troubled actress took to Twitter to complain about her previous stints in jail. She tweeted that it isn't fair that she's been sent to the clink while Amanda Bynes has been allowed to walk free. However, Amanda could still face jail time for two hit-and-run accidents and driving without a license.
Perhaps the judges handling Lindsay and Amanda's cases need to send them back to driver's ed, and in the meantime, the girls should really consider hiring personal drivers so that they stay out of trouble.
If they need cash to be able to afford chauffeurs, here's an idea - maybe the actresses should consider starring in a driving-related movie together. They could do a movie along the lines of Scary Movie, Date Movie, Disaster Movie, etc. that spoofs popular car-related flicks - the girls would be great in The Trashed and the Furious, Driving Miss Crazy, or a Smokey and the Bandit remake.
It's just a shame that movie stunt drivers can't stand in for Linds and Amanda in real life - the two actresses seem to be in a race to see whose lack of driving skills will end up killing someone first.
