American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez will soon be on the Walk of Fame! Unfortunately for her American fans, they won't be seeing her star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. Rather, she's set to be included in the Philippines' Walk of Fame in Quezon City.
While she was born and grew up in the San Diego metropolitan area, she has a special connection to the Philippines since her mother is from there.
"I'm surprised by this, I'm just like I can't even process this right now but that's definitely awesome. I would love to meet [the host of the project] someday and actually thank him personally," she said over the news.
Jessica Sanchez, along with the rest of the American Idol gang, is currently in the Philippines as part of the show's tour. She'll perform in Quezon City this Friday. At least she knows that if her career doesn't take off in the U.S. as it should, she always has the Philippines to fall back on.
