One Direction's Zayn Malik reportedly reneged on buying a multi-million-dollar mansion at the very last-minute—and the owner is none too pleased.
According to a report from Entertainmentwise, Zayn told the owners he wanted the six-bedroom property replete with a swimming pool; however, at the last-minute, he changed his mind.
"Zayn originally said he wanted the property, and he and the owners were due to exchange contracts," a source says. "But at the last minute, his people notified the home's owners that he didn't want it any more. The owner hit the roof as he'd packed up the house and was due to move out of London to a new house in Hertfordshire where his son was going to school."
It seems the sellers will now lose the home they were planning to buy because of the One Direction singer's rash decision, and are fuming mad.
Do you think Zayn Malik is facing some kind of fine for backing out of this home purchase at the very last-minute? He must have made a deposit on the property. Will he lose that?
Why do you suppose Zayn backed out of buying this home? Did he suddenly feel like it was way more house than he needed, or does he have his sights set on something even bigger?
Simon Cowell and the One Direction handlers should really have a chat with Zayn and the rest of the One Direction boys—Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne—about good business practices and good business ethics. Backing out on a deal at the last-minute isn't cool, and will fast give the One Direction singer a bad name.
