Lindsay Lohan was rushed to a New York City emergency room last night after taking a turn for the worse healthwise. Apparently, the troubled actress has been coping with a case of walking pneumonia for the past few weeks. Instead of taking it easy and getting better, she has been out getting in trouble.
On Sunday night, she was taken to the hospital when things got worse. She has reportedly been telling people she was ill, but many assumed it was just another excuse to get out of work. It turns out, Lindsay is battling a lung infection. She may want to put down the cigarettes and let her poor lungs rest a bit. It would also behoove her to skip the nightlife activities for a while and simply recuperate before she lands in the hospital with a serious case of pneumonia.
A rep for Lindsay Lohan confirms the trip to the hospital, but allays any fears for the actress's health. "Lindsay was treated and released, and is doing fine," says the rep. A source says Lindsay was given a round of antibiotics and is now resting in her hotel room. Hopefully, she will follow doctor's orders and stay put for a while. No party is worth risking your health.
