Stephen Colbert dissed Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart recently, saying the couple faked the entire cheating debacle as a means of promoting Breaking Dawn Part 2. While that's certainly not Colbert's own idea, it is one that others have considered.
According to a report from Hollywood Life, the Colbert Report and Colbert Nation funny man is one of several people who believe the cheating scandal never happened. And while it would be nice to believe Kristen never cheated on Rob, it really is quite an incredible length to go to in order to promote a film. He even tweeted about the notion on Thursday, using the idea, however, as though it were his own.
"Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are back together," Stephen Colbert wrote. "Wow, and so close to the release date of their new movie. That's lucky!"
What do you think the chances are that Rob and Kristen agreed to set up this entire cheating scenario as a means of promoting Breaking Dawn Part 2?
And why--as a member of the media world--didn't Stephen Colbert realize this theory was first contemplated about two weeks into the whole cheating ordeal?
