The 50 Shades of Grey movie will definitely demand plenty of seductive scenes and risqué endeavors from its leads who take on the characters of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. Ryan Gosling has been a steady favorite for the part of Grey, holding his place among a hot list of other Hollywood handsomes that includes the chiseled likes of Alexander Skarsgård, Matt Bomer, Ian Somerhalder, and Henry Cavill. While some have questioned whether Gosling has enough brooding boldness and powerful passion to take on Grey in the film adaptation of E.L. James' erotic best-seller, a newly compiled gallery of his most racy make-out moments may just remind everyone that he's not only a chick-flick boy, but also a hunk-star man.
As if in response to all the chatter about the Grey movie, Celebuzz put together a provocative gallery of Gosling's best smooches. From cute (he showed the love to his bulldog co-star in Gangster Squad) to downright steamy (his multiple romantic moves with Rachael McAdams in The Notebook) and even alternative (he rather enthusiastically kissed Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn at the 2011 Cannes International Film Festival!), this actor obviously doesn't discriminate. He can work the PDA on man, woman, and dog!
So despite his reputation for overly romantic, boyish charm, it's hard to deny (especially with this latest photo montage reminder) that Ryan Gosling has a down-and-dirty sexy edge about him, too, which could probably translate to the Christian Grey role rather well. The other potential obstacle, though, is that he is reportedly making his directorial debut with How to Catch a Monster, set to begin filming in spring 2013; this could cramp his schedule.
Regardless, James herself isn't kissing and telling anything at this point. She recently denied—yet again—on Ryan Seacrest's radio show that any frontrunners had been established in the casting for 50 Shades of Grey. Talk about "grey" area! But it's probably a smart marketing move on the author's part; why not let fans, and all of Hollywood too, continue to buzz about her book, the film, and which stars could work their scintillating, titillating magic as Grey and Steele.
