Young Jeezy and Rick Ross got into a brawl at the BET Hip Hop Awards Saturday night, and shots were fired shortly thereafter. The altercation started backstage with an exchange of words as well as pushing and shoving between the two men.
According to a report from TMZ, the gun fire didn't take place until after BET security and each man's bodyguard managed to separate the two rappers.
A member of Rick Ross's party reportedly pulled a gun a bit later in the parking lot and fired it.
The BET Hip Hop Awards were being taped Saturday night in Atlanta, and at last report, both Jeezy and Ross were still there for the taping. There is no word yet as to whether anyone was hurt or if the member of Rick Ross's entourage who fired the gun was arrested at the scene.
TMZ is following the story and hopefully will report back with an update soon. In the meantime, it doesn't sound like any charges will be pressed against either Young Jeezy or Rick Ross.
Why do people feel the only way to express their anger and frustration is through violence? Whether pushing and shoving or verbally accosting someone—or going to the extreme of firing a gun—when will people learn there are far better ways to solve differences?
