Niall Horan and the rest of the One Direction guys are reportedly struggling to maintain their 'good boy' images, and some wonder if they might succumb to the pressure.
According to a report from STV, sources say the boys can't be "openly sleeping with fans, getting drunk or smoking in public". And being 18 through 20-year-olds—what do you suppose they want to do with their relatively new-found fame?
"Openly
sleeping with fans, getting drunk or smoking in public?"
Pretty much.
There's nothing abnormal about the One Direction boys. They simply want to have fun, and there is probably more pressure put on them to behave than to perform.
"...they've been placed under strict instructions by management not to do anything to harm their squeaky-clean image," a source says.
Perez Hilton stepped way out on a limb with his prediction of what might happen before too long to One Direction. He thinks the pressure of being such squeaky-clean good boys will cause the guys to totally succumb to the pressure, and he fears the end result will be a disbanded boy band. He even went so far as to say Zayn Malik will likely be the first of the One Direction mates to leave.
Do you think Perez is on to something here? Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik have worked hard in the past months at becoming a sensational boy band that is loved by fans the world over. But if they can't blow off steam and reap the fruits of their labors, they're going to get frustrated.
Do you think management (a.k.a. Simon Cowell) will cut the guys some slack or will Perez Hilton's prediction wind up coming true?
