Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan of One Direction got some good news from none other than notoriously tough and unapologetically sarcastic X Factor creator and judge, Simon Cowell. He loves their new album, Take Me Home, out Nov. 13, and he's not afraid to tweet all about it!
"I heard most of the new 1D album today," Cowell posted to Twitter, as Entertainmentwise reports. "It really is a fantastic album. I can't wait for you guys to hear it." He also said, "When you hear or see something you have been a part of which is fantastic you realize how important your partners are. I am very lucky."
Of course, Cowell will probably always be in the British-Irish boy band's corner. After all, he made them a group back in 2010, and they shot to fame after a stint on the U.K. version of his hit talent show, which is currently making waves in its second season in the U.S.
The music mogul may have even used his positive social media plug of Harry Styles and rest of the pop-sensation guys as a slick, smart PR move to pump up even more buzz for The X Factor U.S. The show is causing a stir among fans and contestants alike with new judges, Demi Lovato and Britney Spears. And the usual suspects of the incredibly talented and, well, the painfully not so gifted are aptly upping the entertainment quotient.
As Simon Cowell knows all too well, it never hurts to shoot out a reminder of what can happen to some lucky stars on these reality show talent searches, although One Direction's success may need to come with a "results not typical" caveat.
Not that Styles, Tomlinson, Payne, Malik or Horan needed an endorsement from Cowell of Take Me Home. The proof (and the rave reviews) are in the pudding—and so far it's a delicious concoction of the new album's chart-topping lead single, "Live While We're Young," mixed with squeals from scads of Directioners eager to hear more.
