Ryan Seacrest has now added his two cents worth to the Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey drama that took place on American Idol. The American Idol host says the situation was 'pretty intense.'
According to a report from Hollywood Life, Ryan talked about the incident on his radio show on Wednesday.
"Yesterday it got heated, as reported, between Nicki and Mariah," he says. "Now, I was not standing in the room to see it happen live. I was outside the room. Our contestant was in there for part of it, I was outside the room with the contestant's family. But, you know, it was intense, I'll be honest with you." He added, later, "It went far last night...It did get intense and we did wrap after it."
Seacrest was asked his opinion about whether Nicki and Mariah can work out the season together on American Idol without there being a constant foul-mouthed dialogue running.
"Yes. We want that. We want them to be on this panel together," he says. "That is what everybody's decided, that this is a great team to go out and look for the next American Idol. And, by the way, they're all very good at it."
Do you think Nicki Minaj will last on American Idol after her verbal attack on Mariah Carey? Will people eventually get fed up with the two divas going at each other or is it part of the hype that keeps the show relevant?
