Louis Tomlinson made a vow to his girlfriend Eleanor Calder's mother that he'll stay faithful to Eleanor even while on tour with One Direction. That's a tall bill for a 19-year-old to fill, but it was Louis who volunteered to make the pledge.
According to a report from STV, Louis and Eleanor have dated since September
of 2011, and it was his worry that initially got the channels of communication between him and Eleanor's mom going.
"I remember I sent Eleanor's mum a few text messages saying, 'Please don't judge me thinking I'm like the stereotypical boy band type who is going to go around and sleep with everything that moves," he told her. "I was trying to convince her I'm quite a good lad but I didn't really need to."
He says her family is "really cool," and that they understand his situation of traveling with One Direction.
"It's important for me to treat a girlfriend with respect," Louis says.
He must be doing exactly that since he and Eleanor Calder have now dated for well over a year. Have any of the other One Direction members--Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne or Zayn Malik--had relationships that lasted that long?
