On October 8, Naomi Watts joined her director Juan Antonio Bayona in Madrid for the premiere of The Impossible. The film's cast gathered at Kinepolis Cinema where Naomi met with Maria Belon, a tsunami survivor whom the actress plays in the movie.
Naomi wore white at the premiere. Just Jared spotted the 44-year-old actress in a dress by Marchesa - one of Naomi's go-to labels. Naomi, whose upcoming movie roles include Princess Diana, usually turns to design duo Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig for glamorous red carpet events. Normally, she turns heads in their sparkling fairy tale gowns. On this occasion, Naomi's floral cocktail dress fell short. The textured number, with its rosette-shouldered sleeves and substantial material looked too bulky on Naomi. At the same time, her Christian Louboutin platform sandals seemed to shorten her legs, especially with her dress' hemline.
Naomi Watts made up for her red carpet misstep with the rest of her styling - beautiful old hollywood curls, gorgeous red lips, Chopard drop earrings, and her Louis Vuitton clutch. She also shifted gears and wowed the crowd in a sleek jacket and a pair of skinny trousers for the movie's after party.
