Heather Dubrow was added to the cast of Real Housewives of Orange County during its seventh season, and now, as she enters into her second year with the show, she's dishing on how she landed the gig, what is going to be seen on the eighth season, and what she's looking for in a new housewife.
"I was pitching a show with some of my friends about opening a restaurant, and one of the places we went to was Evolution [Media]," Heather tells Wetpaint. After meeting with the production company, they offered her a gig on the show. "I said no for a while, and then my husband pretty much convinced me that this was a great idea."
Now, following Alexis Bellino's exit, producers are searching for the latest addition to the cast, and Heather has an idea of who would be a great candidate—someone like her. "I just hope that they would bring on someone that would challenge everyone a little, like I think I did. I think that's an interesting dynamic and good for a group to mix things up a little bit."
As for when filming on season 8 began, Heather can't disclose much of anything. However, there were reports that the girls filmed scenes at last month's Golden Foodie Awards which Heather confirms she attended along with co-star Tamra Barney.
While Heather can't actually confirm the eight season, she did dish on what's going on with them currently—which is likely what will appear on the season when it airs. "We have a lot of fun things going on right now. Tamra is getting married, and I'm trying to throw her a really fantastic bridal shower. That's going to be fun and unexpected. She doesn't know what we're doing yet; she's gonna love it."
