Alexia Echevarria's son is in a heap of trouble. Last week, the Real Housewives of Miami star posted a video on Facebook of him punching a homeless man in the groin while he was asleep and then running to a waiting car and driving away, and now, he's being charged with battery against a homeless person—a hate crime.
Police have reportedly already spoke with Peter's attorney but have yet to speak with him. However, they will soon. Peter is expected to turn himself in by tomorrow.
"He will have until the close of business tomorrow (Wednesday) to turn himself in as we expect with his attorney," said Sgt. Bobby Hernandez. "If he does not do that, our detectives will go out to where he lives and arrest him."
While Peter's aim was just to produce a funny video, it came at a price. What he did to his innocent victim was just plain distasteful, and he deserves whatever punishment he gets.
Peter is facing a maximum jail sentence of 5 years.
