Rapper Nelly is just the latest celebrity caught in the Sierra Blanca drug net, but he might be the first to sound off about it on his Twitter account.
On Thursday he began conversing with other Twitter users about the topic, stating that "I'm not gone front I'm MAD as Hell about this sh#t!! 2have some1 who works 4u n who u call a friend 4 ova 10years jeopardize ur life WTF?"
The rapper isn't exactly known for talking in simple, understandable and polite language, so apologies to those readers easily offended by his tweet. But the Rapper Nelly Tweet point is clear: He feels the guy busted for drugs on his bus in Texas put him at risk by his behavior.
Twitter talk between him and others goes on to include talk about the gun, which is discussed as being for "protection," since the man arrested in Sierra Blanca was allegedly a body guard for the singing star.
Talking so openly about the case to a close friend in the privacy of your home is one thing, but having a celebrity send a tweet that can be read by others isn't so smart in this media savvy world.
And one Twitter user with the handle Clothing Designer said as much, telling Kelly that "if he 'protected your life' then you're admitting that you knew he had a gun...Where's your PR team?"
If Rapper Kelly gave border patrol agents the impression that he was clueless about a gun being on the man they eventually arrested from his tour bus, but now purports to know it was on him, as Clothing Designer insinuates, then that could come back to bite him in the butt with the cops. So, yeah, he needs his PR people...and to stop talking about it on Twitter.
