It might be safe to say that Young Jeezy and Gucci Mane won't be collaborating on a song anytime soon.
After the much publicized backstage brawl with Maybach Music Group CEO Rick Ross at the 2012 BET Awards, Jeezy sat down in an interview with Power 106 to talk about the issue and also talk about Bricksquad group CEO Gucci Mane. Jeezy did not hold back when talking about Gucci Mane.
In the interview, he stated the following: "So me and [Ross] never really seen each other face to face and I just felt like he spoke, I spoke, and that was basically it. But at the end of the day, it's been going on for a while so I just felt like if it was to be handled, it should have been handled there. We either gon' get past it or keep moving. So in my words, I just feel like a lot of these cats are actor rappers. And I'm Jeezy—they could never be me. That's just pretty much that."
Jeezy then continued and spoke about Gucci Mane, after Gucci reportedly said he had no respect for him. Jeezy said: "I mean, I feel like everybody know that boy retarded, nobody take him seriously," he said. "He got an ice cream cone on his face. That being said, I'm not going back. I'm going forward. And then it's crazy because they'll call you and want you on songs. And then when you don't get on a song, that's what happens."
It's clear that there is some bad blood brewing between the two rappers. Whether this beef becomes anything significant is yet to be seen but it's clear that Jeezy and Gucci Mane have never gotten along. However, his beef with Rick Ross is an interesting one because Jeezy is reportedly very close with rapper T.I., who is reportedly very tight with Rick Ross.
