Taylor Momsen is all grown up and desperate to prove to everyone that she's not that adorable little girl who played Cindy Lou Who in How the Grinch Stole Christmas anymore. But should she try to win the role of Anastasia Steele in the 50 Shades of Grey movie?
The Gossip Girl star has shown that she's dark and edgy by slathering black makeup on around her eyes; wearing lingerie as clothing; teetering around in the same hideous hooker heels that Courtney Stodden loves so much; and wearing black electrical tape over her nipples.
Since the 19-year-old leaves so little to the imagination, obviously getting naked is the next logical step for her to take.
Taylor Momsen does just that in a spoken-word video, titled "Under the Water." The punk rock princess who fronts the band The Pretty Reckless tries to get deep with lines like this:
"Lay my head under the water/alone I pray for calmer seas/and when I wake from this dream with chains all around me/I've never been free."
It's amazing how much she sounds like Scarlett Johansson.
But instead of paying attention to the words of "Under the Water," most people are just commenting on Taylor being nude at the end. She strikes an awkward pose, and she's so skinny that she looks a bit like a creature from a horror movie. Since her body is blurred to avoid showing too much, she also resembles Marilyn Manson wearing breasts for his "The Dope Show" music video (it's surprising that Manson hasn't dated Momsen yet). If it wasn't for the ending, the video would look a little like a racy perfume ad.
Since Taylor is talking about chained up in her video, maybe she'd be the perfect choice to play student-turned-sex-slave Anastasia Steele in the 50 Shades of Grey movie. Obviously she doesn't have any problem with being nude, and she seems like the type of gal who would be a fan of BDSM—some of her clothing looks like bondage wear, and she might actually enjoy trading her black electrical tape for nipple clamps. Alexander Skarsgard would be her perfect Christian Grey.
You can check out Taylor's video below to see what you think. Should she star in 50 Shades, or would she do a better job playing the creepy living dead girl in a horror movie?
