Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart aren't the only Twilight-related people excited about the upcoming première of Breaking Dawn Part 2. Their director, Bill Condon, is pretty excited about its release as well.
According to a report from the Times of India, Condon actually felt joyful while making the last film in the Twilight series. He was asked in a recent interview how he feels the film will fare compared to the first films in the series.
"I am positive that it will be huge success and will fare equal if not more compared to the previous three parts. In fact the whole crew is excited to see the response we get from the audience and more so from the people who have read the book and come to watch the movie. We just can't wait for the movie to release," he said.
Bill Condon also spoke of something Twihards wonder about on a daily basis. Will this really be the end of the Twilight series?
"There is a quandary faced by the studio executives over the years about the continuity of the series. It is one of the most successful movie franchises that have run out of books to adapt, however this may not be an obstacle for the Twilight films. The movie is expected to gross $700m-plus worldwide in revenues. It's hard to imagine a movie that does $700m-plus doesn't have ongoing value. We are contemplating about continuing the series even though there are no books to adapt to," he explains.
Twihards are likely rejoicing now, following Bill Condon's encouraging words. Do you think Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson would sign on if Bill agrees to direct yet another film following Breaking Dawn Part 2?
Do you think author Stephanie Meyer might write another book in her best-selling series of books?
It will be interesting to follow Bill Condon after the release of Breaking Dawn Part 2, to see what he and Summit Entertainment decide about continuing the film series. If his box office predictions come true, fans might be in for another installment!
