When Kristen Stewart was busted cheating on Robert Pattinson with her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders, pictures of KStew and the married father of two "not having sex" (eye roll) in her car and cuddling near a nature trail were published as proof of the affair. But how did the paparazzi know where the two would hook up? According to one website, it was an inside job!
Rupert's "disgusted" wife, Liberty Ross, tipped off the paparazzi after she discovered his affair with Kristen, Hollywood Life claims.
"Liberty had her friend tip off the photo agency that Rupert was having an affair with Kristen," a "source" tells the website. "Liberty wanted Rupert to get caught in the act so he would be humiliated. Liberty told a friend in London that she heard rumors that her husband was having an affair with Kristen. She knew her friend was going to leak the info to a photo agency. Liberty wanted Rupert and Kristen to be caught in public because she wanted him to be humiliated!"
Liberty wanting Rupert to be humiliated is totally understandable. But by outing him and Kristen, Liberty herself was also publicly humiliated. Plus, the affair going public could have really negatively affected Liberty and Rupert's young children, depending on how much she sheltered them from the media fallout (and even if they don't know much about what happened now, all they have to do is Google their dad in the future and they'll find out). Would humiliating him be worth all that? But conspiracy theorists will love this report: Since the pics were first published, skeptics have wondered if the "affair" was just a publicity stunt designed to boost the careers of the four people involved in the scandal, and Liberty has reportedly been inundated with acting audition offers in the past few months and walked the runway at New York Fashion Week for the first time in years. And she hasn't filed for divorce yet, either. So, is Liberty a scorned wife or an ambitious Hollywood wannabe player? Who knows.
What do you think? Did Liberty Ross tip off the paparazzi that Kristen Stewart and Rupert Sanders were having an affair? Is the "affair" just a publicity stunt? Sound off in the comments!
