Madonna fans are ticked off at Madge for using guns during her Thursday performance in Denver, and pretending to fire into the crowd.
Firing fake guns has been a component of Madge's previous concerts, but didn't one of her handlers see how insensitive the stunt would be in Colorado? Well, the 54-year-old singer has never taken advice from anyone, so perhaps it wouldn't have mattered, anyway.
The Denver Pepsi Center is about 15 miles from where police claim graduate student James Holmes allegedly killed 12 people and injured 58 others.
Madge should really just retire from giving live performances. Her voice has been lackluster for years, and her childish antics are just annoying at this point. The stunt Thursday was just plain disgraceful, but it's merely the latest in a string of pathetic cries for attention from the aging pop star. During this tour, Madonna has mooned audiences in Turkey, promoted the use of ecstasy, and utilized Nazi imagery during a concert in France.
After Thursday's show, Madge's Colorado fans blitzed the Twitterverse with complaints. They were also upset she was three hours late.
"Really, Madonna? Keep Denver waiting 3 hours, then open with guns? And pretend to shoot people in the front of the theater? And that's art?" one woman tweeted.
Holmes was arrested for the July 20 shooting in Aurora, and is currently in jail facing 152 counts related to the massacre.
