Miley Cyrus may think she's the subject of the Jonas Brothers' new song, "Wedding Bells." But while she cannot control what other people (or previous boyfriend, Nick Jonas!) says about her, she is taking some matters into her own hands to ensure nothing hinders her relationship with fiancé, Liam Hemsworth, and her walk down the aisle. In fact, she may even be compromising her own career!
"I've turned down scripts because I felt like it was things that not only make me feel uncomfortable, but I don't think any career is worth stressing out the person that you love the most or making them feel hurt. So, we both give each other boundaries," Cyrus admitted during an On Air with Ryan Seacrest interview on Thursday, Oct. 18, as Hollywood Life reports.
So despite a radical new haircut and her constant public displays of skin, Cyrus may still have her personal priorities straight. Unlike some fellow stars, she sounds like she's putting her relationship with her main man first. She and Hemsworth seem to have a good thing going, despite the recent buzz that he wants her to leave her provocative Twitter practices behind, which she obviously hasn't done.
As for any jealousy that could be bubbling under the surface, especially given she has an undeniably hunky guy, Miley Cyrus said, "It's a thing, but it's not a thing." She also added, "At this point we're engaged, like we're forever. I think if I was a girlfriend and all this stuff would happen I would feel like I need to show my ownership."
It certainly bodes well that Cyrus views her engagement and future marriage as a "forever" thing (a rarity, especially in Hollywood!) and that her and Hemsworth's hot romance doesn't seem to be plagued by lack of trust or any green-eyed stares. And while Cyrus may be turning down some sensual roles that have been shot her way, she certainly isn't becoming a shrinking violet; she isn't putting the brakes on cutting a sexy, suggestive profile in her off time!
