LeAnn Rimes became famous for having a large voice at a young age. The country singer was able to belt out Patsy Cline tunes without butchering them and built herself a nice career at a young age. She holds the record as the youngest person to ever win a Grammy, but unfortunately, that probably isn't what people remember her for. These days she is better known for home wrecking a Housewife's life.
LeAnn met Eddie Cibrian on the set of their movie Northern Lights. At the time, both were married, but that didn't stop them from indulging in an extramarital affair. The two divorced their significant others and ultimately married one another, but their relationship has remained scrutinized. Now, fresh out of treatment for "stress and anxiety," LeAnn opens up about the affair and what the heck was going through her mind when it happened!
In a new interview with Katie Couric, LeAnn says about the affair, "I made my choices, you know? I made my choices and I'm living with them. And I also have learned from them and I've talked about this so much. But I know that...I'm not the only person that goes through this. There's so many that do. And there's so much on the new album that I do share."
In her defense, LeAnn Rimes isn't the first woman to have an affair and she probably won't be the last. In fact, a lot of celebrities often partake in extramarital affairs, so it isn't an uncommon occurrence. However, the bitter battle that ensued between Rimes and Cibrian's ex-wife, Brandi Glanville of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, is what really made this particular story stand out. The two women have had intense Twitter battles, even including their followers in them. It's a shame that this (and not her Grammy) will likely be her legacy.
LeAnn's entire interview will air Friday night on ABC.
