Jessica Biel is making things really official and changing her last name to Timberlake. While some feminists might be cringing over the news, be honest ladies, if you were married to Justin wouldn't you do the same?
Despite going a non-traditional route and donning a "Pretty In Pink" homage of a wedding dress, Biel has decided to stick with at least one old standard by changing her last name. In an interview with People, the actress and new bride explained, "Yes, I'm changing my name. My professional name will still be the same, but for life, yes, I think it sounds great. I think I really found the jackpot of names."
Jessica Biel joins a lot of other celebrity wives, like Julia Roberts for example, who have chosen to take their husbands' last names. Most actresses have forgone their real names for stage names anyway so what's one more name change added to the mix.
The couple were wed in a ceremony in Italy last week and have already hit their first marital speed bump in the form of controversy over a wedding gag video. Hopefully Mr. and Mrs. Timberlake will shake it off and enjoy their newly wedded bliss; after all, the first year is always the hardest... even for celebrities.
