Kanye West has two reasons for hanging tight with the Keeping Up With the Kardashians clan. First and of course the more obvious reason is his deep love for Kim Kardashian. The second sort of tugs at the heartstrings. Kanye desperately misses his mother, and his connection with this tight-knit family helps fill at least part of that empty space her death left in his heart.
According to a report from Hollywood Life, the dynamic is interesting at best—but one that likely has what it takes to withstand the test of time.
"I know he misses his mother and wishes she were here with him, so now he's connected with the Kardashian family and it's perfect for him," a source close to Kanye explains.
There are very few things that can ease the pain of losing one's mother, especially since Kanye was so close to his mom. Kris Jenner will never take Donda West's place in Kanye's life, but she can help ease his pain with some maternal nurturing.
Dr. Donda West, an English professor, died following some simple cosmetic procedures back in 2007. She was just 58 years old at the time. The source says Kanye is healing more from the loss since his relationship with the Kardashians became what appears to be a permanent one.
"He likes being around all of them and they like him, so the n—a already family. He ain't even got to get engaged and married — he already married and don't even know it."
Does this love of family likely mean once Kim Kardashian and Kanye West tie the knot they'll be happy within the Keeping Up With the Kardashians fold? Maybe so—just as long as Kris Jenner doesn't play games with their nuptials and personal life the way she did with Kim and Kris Humphries'.
