Despite rumors about Tom Cruise leaving the Church of Scientology, the Mission Impossible star attended a lavish event for the organization a week ago. He very clearly isn't losing his religion, but is he losing Suri as a result?
According to a report from RadarOnline, Cruise was awarded a Freedom Medal of Valor by the Church of Scientology some time ago, and proudly wore it to the October 20th event.
Tom even took time off from filming All You Need is Kill to attend the 28th Anniversary Patrons Ball for the International Association of Scientologists in the U.K. Sadly he hasn't taken time off from filming to spend time with his little girl, Suri. Sure he's been away on location and yes, Suri is busy with her school and activities, but if Tom can take time off for the Church of Scientology—couldn't he do the same for his child?
Tom was seated at a table of honor at the Scientology event and was accompanied by a girl with short black hair, wearing a red velvet dress.
"He looked at home and stood up to sing along to the Scientology anthem at the end before leaving a little earlier than everyone else," a source says.
This was a secret convention and it was chaired by church leader David Miscavige. He calls Tom Cruise as the 'most dedicated Scientologist I know.'
How do you think it looks for Cruise to take time out of his busy filming schedule to attend a Church of Scientology event when he can't even take time away from filming to visit Suri? It certainly seems clear where Tom's true allegiance lies.
