Channing Tatum is all set to be named the Sexiest Man Alive by People. So does he deserve the title?
Channing isn't conventionally handsome - there's not really anything remarkable about his face; his ears stick out; and it's hard to tell where his neck ends and his head begins. However, you don't need Brad Pitt's face when you've got a beefcake bod like Channing. And of course it helps that the actor is willing to show off his greatest asset.
This year has been a sexy one for the ladies. Channing and a crew of fellow fit actors took it all off in the male stripper movie Magic Mike, and the erotic novel 50 Shades of Grey has been flying off of bookshelves. Magic Mike might have something to do with why Channing Tatum is one of the top choices for the role of Christian Grey in the 50 Shades movie.
Channing seems like a sweet and charming guy (he looks like a big teddy bear), and the ladies probably love him even more for not being a womanizer - he's been married to Jenna Dewan for three years. The cute couple met on the set of the dance movie Step Up.
Jenna Dewan is another reason Channing deserves to be named the Sexiest Man Alive by People - she's a real stunner. Channing's gorgeous wife also seems to be well on her way to becoming a star after her sexy but terrifying role in American Horror Story.
You've also got to appreciate Channing for embracing a past that not everyone would be proud of. In fact, he actually turned his former job as a male stripper into something to celebrate by showing off a few of his old dance moves in Magic Mike.
Perhaps being named the Sexiest Man Alive will lead to even more great opportunities for Channing. Who knows? Maybe he and Jenna Dewan could work together once again by playing Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey in the 50 Shades of Grey movie. Jenna's American Horror Story role did involve a little bondage.
Channing had to beat out some pretty hot guys to win his new title -- People probably considered other popular actors like Robert Pattinson, Chris Hemsworth, Ian Somerhalder, and Ryan Gosling. So do you think that the magazine made the right choice?
