Emily Maynard is probably learning right about now about the downside of fame. She was largely beloved by the public after her appearance on Brad Womack's second turn on The Bachelor, so much so that she was chosen to star in the next The Bachelorette. Immediately after the allegation that she text cheated on Jef Holm was made by his brother however, public opinion started to turn. The couple's speedy breakup fueled speculation that the allegation was actually true. Not helping her image is the recent report that she's already moved on with NASCAR driver Jason White. When a fan yelled at her for moving on so fast however, she denied the dating claim.
"ARE YOU F***ING SERIOUS?" someone tweeted to her about the dating rumors. The denial was swift. "Absolutely NOT! He's been one of my good friends forever!" "God forbid I get a night out and have some fun!" she added, referring to the Carrie Underwood concert that she went to with Jason White.
She also denied that she's desperate to stay famous. "Exactly how am I in the spotlight right now? I went to a Carrie Underwood concert with some friends in Charlotte!" she wrote.
Emily Maynard certainly seemed genuine in her desire to find a life partner during her time on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. Only she and Jef Holm know the true story behind their split. Even if she really is dating already and is just lying to cover herself, she doesn't owe it to the public to be single for a certain amount of time. She's only 26; she's entitled to have some fun!
