Modern Family star, Ariel Winter has allegedly been living in hell with her mother Christina Workman. After her mother temporarily lost custody of her 14-year-old daughter, the alleged abusive mother filed charges with regard to her daughter, Ariel, and her boyfriend. Although Ariel lives in a comedic family in TV land, she apparently has lived a difficult and dramatic home life.
Now her own mother has decided to retaliate against her daughter, Ariel, who is trying to divorce her mother. Crazy! This is entirely too much drama for a 14-year-old young teen to endure.
First of all, Christina Workman was accused of "ongoing physical abuse (slapping, hitting, pushing), and emotional abuse (vile name calling, personal insults about minor and minor's weight, attempts to 'sexualize' minor, deprivation of food, etc) for an extended period of time."
So if it is true that Workman was not properly taking care of her beautiful and witty daughter, where is Ariel Winter's daddy? He is MIA. And Ariel has been living without his protection and care. Her father is considered "estranged and incapable of properly caring for minor."
So who will take care of Ariel? Her 20-year-old responsible sister, Shanelle Gray, was given a temporary custody of the Modern Family teen on October 3rd. Gray promised to "properly" handle Winter's $500K fortune, which her mother is accused of misusing.
After being accused of mistreating her daughter and losing custody for the time being, Workman decided to retaliate against Winter and her 18-year-old boyfriend. She pressed charges two weeks after she caught the two teens in bed together. Why did the mom wait two weeks? Revenge undoubtedly!
According to Winter's mother, she caught the "young lovers together on September 24th," but did not file charges until October 6th, which was conveniently 3 whole days after she temporarily lost custody of her daughter.
It is understandable that a caring and concerned mother might file charges against an 18-year-old having sex with her daughter. Was Workman upset when the incident occurred? Or was she only ticked off after her daughter tried to divorce her?
One source explained, "The judge will almost certainly ask Chris about the delay in going to cops about claims she found her daughter in bed with an older man. Chris is going to have a lot of very tough questions to answer."
The permanent custody court case will occur on November 20th. Honestly, it probably hurt Workman's case to file a lawsuit 2 weeks later. This type of behavior can show that Workman is erratic and downright flaky. Could her mother (a piece of work) be willing to start rumors of statutory rape about her own daughter or are the rumors truth?
