Although Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are playing it cool and cagey and refraining from discussing their shocking breakup, those close to them are, as usual, far less discreet. Inside sources report that the Jelena romance has been rocky as an avalanche for the past 3 months. What were the signs? And will JB and Selena meet and reconcile next week when they're both scheduled to be in New York City?
According to most reports, Justin wants to get back together with Selena right away. In fact, JB reportedly never wanted the split in the first place. La Gomez dumped him. Be that as it may, sources also report that both JB and Selena Gomez are "desperate to see each other while...visiting New York City on Nov. 12." Now new inside sources say that the two superstars have had problems for quite a while, and that, if they do reconcile, they have a lot of work to do.
"I knew something was wrong with Justin and Selena almost three months ago," an insider revealed. "I saw them at the Largo at the Coronet in West Hollywood on August 25 and Selena did NOT look happy. They were seeing their friend, comedian Bo Burnham perform. When they left, Justin was talking to all these girls who wanted pictures taken with him. He was laughing and flirting, while Selena just stood in the corner waiting for him. Justin used to be very protective of Selena, and the ultimate gentleman. But that night Justin left first with some buddies, and Selena followed behind."
Yikes. Not too gallant, JB.
Oh, well. Maybe that's why most love stories end with the wedding or the even the proposal. They don't dare show what goes on later in the day to day reality of relationships. On the other hand, maybe that's why someone invented reality shows. Seriously best of luck to Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez. And remember, guys, you're 18 and 20, and you're both healthy and rich. How drastic can things be? Twenty years from now, you'll look back on all this and guffaw.
