The Fifty Shades of Grey casting wars continue. And they're getting downright ridiculous. Rumor now has it that Rumer Willis is gunning for the coveted role of Christian Grey's sex slave, Anastasia Steele. No, that's not a misprint. Rumer Willis. As if.
La Willis may or may not have the acting chops to play the clueless virgin who makes the sudden and unfortunate transition from college student to billionaire's sex slave. However, she definitely does not have the looks. Even she would have to admit that. The idea of Rumer Willis even being considered for the part of Ana is absolutely ludicrous. Especially since, to garner the role, she'd have to beat out a bevy of beauties including Alexis Bledel and Twilight actress, Ashley Greene who are the number one and two fan favorites. She'd also have to trounce Harry Potter's Emma Watson, Breaking Dawn Part Two's uber famous Kristen Stewart, and the Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev who is the real life girlfriend of Christian Grey fan favorite, Ian Somerhalder.
Willis' looks--or lack thereof--aren't the only problem however. Overcoming such competition would be a daunting task even for a beautiful girl with Willis' limited experience. Known mostly for her real life role as the daughter of famous parental units Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, Rumer first appeared in her mom's films, Now and Then and Striptease. She later appeared in her dad's The Whole Nine Yards and Hostage. She has later had "other minor movie roles and guest television appearances." Not much of a resume. Of course, she can always trade on her famous name, that is "her parents' power as pull." Hopefully.
Lastly, there has been speculation that Rumer's "dominant party girl personality" makes her seem more like "a female version of Christian Grey" than a bookish, submissive virgin. Pity she isn't older. She might be perfect for the role of Elena, Christian's dominant cougar ex-girlfriend who introduced him to the world of BDSM when he was just a teen.
Oh well, there you have it. Could you picture Rumer Willis as the female lead in Fifty Shades of Grey? Or maybe Khloe Kardashian?
