Taylor Swift admitted in a recent interview that she's often lied to her exes. She swore to them that she wouldn't write songs about them, and then she did. Oops. Poor Harry Styles.
When asked in a recent New York Times interview if any of her ex beau had ever freaked out and begged her never to mention them in a song, the country sweetheart coolly replied:
"The only time that has ever crossed someone's mind was when we were in the process of breaking up. Of course I was like, 'Oh, don't worry, I won't' And then I did."
Good grief. Should Harry Styles watch his back now that the two are allegedly dating? Would the One Direction hunk have been better off with Demi Lovato? Well, safer anyway? Perhaps. However, Swift doesn't seem to understand what all the fuss is about. She doesn't think dishing the dirt about her exes in her songs is any big deal. Furthermore, she insists that for every negative comment she makes about the gentlemen in question, she also says something positive.
"Look, it's not like it was written somewhere in the fine print that I write songs about my life," mused La Swift. "If we break up, I'm going to write about it. But I'm probably also going to write about when I fell in love with you. So there's an upside."
So there you have it. It would be interesting to know which ex boyfriends asked Taylor Swift to leave them out of her songs. John Mayer? Jake Gyllenhaal? Taylor Lautner? Not that it really matters now since it obviously didn't work.
You go, Taylor girl.
