The One Direction guys--Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik--dished about Christmas recently, and talked about what they hope to do, give and get while on Christmas break from the band.
According to a report from the Minot Daily News, it's been a crazy year for the 1D boys and they are all looking forward to a few specific things at Christmas time.
"I'll prob
ably go home to Ireland and do the same thing as every year; drink, eat and sleep a lot," Niall Horan says. "Just chill out, become fat. We always go to the pub on Christmas Eve."
For Harry Styles, it's all about the food.
"It's the Christmas dinner," he says. "You go in hard. Then about 7 or so, watching a film, you make a turkey sandwich."
Zayn Malik loves his new found wealth, and how he can give to his family at Christmas time. In fact, he recently bought his parents a house.
"Now that we have a bit of money, it's nice to get gifts for people," he says. "Before I was getting and not really giving."
Even though it's hard for the What Makes You Beautiful singers to get out and shop (Can you imagine shopping with droves of screaming girls clamoring to touch you or get your autograph?) Harry Styles still likes to go Christmas shopping.
"It's nice to go out and pick up stuff rather than doing it online," he says.
"I do a bit of both," Louis Tomlinson says. "I prefer to go out, but it's finding the time and the motivation, because when we've got time off, it's nice to do nothing."
Zayn relies on some 1D merchandise for Christmas gift giving, too.
"My little cousin might get a few dolls," he explains, but he laughs, adding, "I don't think my mum would be too happy with a doll of me for Christmas!"
Interestingly, Harry, Niall, Zayn, Louis and Liam don't exchange Christmas gifts. They do make sure to buy presents on birthdays, however. Maybe they like to save Christmas as a 'home' celebration.
