Kim Zolciak announced that she would not be returning to Real Housewives of Atlanta following the upcoming episode which will air on December 2. While she claims she left on her own accord after the tensions with the ladies proved to be to much for her pregnant self to handle, there have been rumors that she was fired after production had enough with her outrageous demands.
According to an Us Weekly source, Kim had "a total blowout with production" after she backed out of a planned trip with the ladies. "Kim was furious!" the source claims, adding that the fight led to Kim being phased out of the show. Not many details are known about the what the fight involved, but it had to have been serious if it allegedly led to Kim getting the boot.
Kim, on the other hand, stands by her previous announcement that her exit was her decision. "I want positivity around me," she says. "With these ladies, I feel like nine times out of 10, there's going to be an argument. They're not happy for me. They're not supportive." Speaking of not supportive, Kim's co-star, NeNe Leakes, called her out on Twitter last week, claiming that she was in fact fired. Unfortunately for fans, they may never know what really happened to Kim.
However, it is a bit odd to think that Kim was really let go. She was with the show for 4 years and one might think producers would be more understanding of her situation -- being pregnant. Plus, Kim just announced that she would be returning to Bravo next year in her permanent spin-off. Would producers really fire her from one show and sign her on to another? If she was too difficult for them to deal with on RHOA, it doesn't make a lot of sense that they'd reward her with her own show.
