The latest celebrity to violently attack their spouse is Lisa Robin Kelly, who can be seen in the mug shot below. The 42-year-old actress, best known for playing "Laurie," Eric Foreman's promiscuous blond sister in That 70s Show, has been arrested and charged, not for the first time, after an argument between her and her 61-year-old husband that turned violent. The husband was arrested as well, but police are saying that drugs and alcohol were not likely to blame for the altercation.
The couple were arrested on Tuesday night after the violence that brought local law enforcement to their North Carolina home. Kelly has been in trouble with the law before, charged with spousal abuse in March of this year, charges that were later dropped. She was also arrested in 2010 for driving under the influence of alcohol and pleaded guilty.
This is just one in a string of recent stories about celebrity couples that argue and get physical, with other celebrities also ending up on the front page of headline news sources everywhere, certainly not looking their best as they are seen by fans from an entirely new perspective, as a police mugshot.
Every couple is going to argue from time to time, but why do these altercations have to turn violent? There is never an excuse for violence except in extreme cases of self-defense, and then only so much as to keep yourself safe and remove yourself from the situation. Lisa Robin Kelly may have played a teenager in the 70s on television, but perhaps she should have paid attention to some of the great 80s movies, like The Karate Kid. If she had, she would have known that.
